What? Think long term?? These are supposed to be fast weight loss tips.
I know. Allow me to explain...
Many people give up on weight loss programs when they don’t see results fast enough. Having a long term view will help you avoid quitting.
Another thing - many people try unhealthy diets or potentially unsafe diet pills and supplements that promise easy rapid weight loss.
Don't get me wrong - some of these things do cause fast weight loss. The problem is that the results don't last because they screw up your metabolism. Eventually you end up back at square one when all that weight comes back. And it will come back!
Thinking long term will help you avoid this fate.
Tip #2: Set goals
Losing weight can be very challenging. You have to change your lifestyle and keep yourself motivated.
Setting reachable weight loss goals can help keep you motivated and doing those daily necessary things to lose the weight.
Tip #3 Follow an expert
If you think something is physically wrong with you, you consult with a doctor.
You should consult with a fitness professional to help you get fit.
You can either...
1. Hire a Personal Trainer. Hiring a good Trainer is one of the best things anybody can do. A competent Trainer will teach you how to workout properly, eat for weight loss, and help keep you motivated. It also gives you someone to be accountable to.
2. Buy a book. Personal Trainers don't come cheap, but a good one is well worth the money. An alternative to hiring a Trainer is to invest in a good guide.
Tip #4 Eat For Weight Loss

You should follow an eating schedule and have your meals preplanned.
Why do you need an eating schedule?
If you want to lose weight rapidly it’s important to keep your metabolism racing all day. One of the best ways you can do this is by eating four to six small meals a day spaced 3 to 4 hours apart.
Having a schedule will help you avoid long periods without food. This is critical if you want to lose weight.
So, have your healthy, balanced meals planned ahead of time. Spending time guessing what your next meal will be makes it easier to eat junk food and skip meals. Both are big no nos.
Eat meals that contain a mix of complex carbohydrates, protein and some fat.
Here's a HUGE tip: Get in the habit of studying food labels so you can limit your intake of sugar, sodium, saturated fats and trans fats.
If you don't have a workout schedule, I can almost guarantee that you'll miss workouts. You're not going to lose weight fast by missing workouts.
Your workout plan should include two things:
1. the days and times you will exercise 2. the workout that you're going to do each session
To lose weight fast, you must, must, must plan for it! If you're like me (I’m not good at planning), this part will be kind of tough. But ya have to do it!
Tip #6 Follow a balanced exercise program
A balanced exercise program includes cardiovascular exercise and weight training. They work together to help you lose weight.
Tip #7 Find a workout partner and/or a support group
This is one of the best quick weight loss tips I can offer.
Chances are you know somebody else who wants to lose weight - a family member, co-worker, friend…
Having a partner can do wonders for your results.
1. You can help keep each other motivated and hold each other accountable.
2. If one partner doesn’t feel like working out, the other can be there to give that push.
3. If you’re craving that irresistible piece of chocolate cake (mmm, my favorite), your partner can remind you how it’s gonna ruin that intense workout that you did earlier.
